Just picked mine up this past weekend. Wish I knew what number it is. It has to be fairly low judging by VINs and serial numbers I've seen. Pretty nice car and glad I did the trade overall. Tried to pick up another one for parts too.

Yes, the car had been broken into and the center badge and door panel badges were taken. Well one of the door panel badges is still in the car, but the posts were broken off when they were ripped off. Still has exterior badges on the doors with stickers and lower trunk lid. If I find out the correct number, I can have it made.

I heard they stopped doing replacement ones off your VIN after 10 years (this year). I still have to go to the local dealer and verify.

I purchased a 98 Daytona Pace car last month. Supposedly had supercharger issue. Needed harmonic balancer replaced is all.... Paid $250 for the car and runs and drives like a dream, looks great too. Some hail damage on hood, but I plan to install a cowl hood if I can find one reasonably priced, or perhaps just mold inner scopes and fabricate my own... All original so far, no mods.... #1110 of 1500

Picked this up a few weeks ago. 53,500 KMS ZERO mods. It'll likely stay that way more or less.

No longer looks so pretty, after dirtbags pulled parking lot hit-and-runs on the driver's door & quarter. May fix it up someday, but winters have taken their toll underneath, so we'll see in a couple years.

Dave, that's basically the same blower from the Cobras right? Did you have to get an adapter to bolt it onto the motor?

Yes, it's a "Magnacharger" (same as what's swapped onto LSx's in kits, basically the 112 blower with a case that has a different bolt pattern). In 2003, Intense & ZZP put together about 5-10 kits that people bought to adapt these using a modified Intercooler core.

Image

Nowadays, the cost that people would have to spend to swap this, or an even more efficient big blower onto their 3800, is about equal to a turbo kit, which typically has less effort involved & is simpler to make big power from. Back when this was sold to my buddy & the others who ran/run them, turbo kits weren't in existance, neither were most of the cams, tuners, & other parts now on the market.

Well i've been itching to do a RWD L67 for quite a while and have been trying to figure out how I'll do the blower if I can't source one from Australia.

Well, if you really have an itch to spend $3-4k on just a supercharger, Magnson will gladly take your money. You can get this blower, or the TVS MP1900 model with the same bolt pattern, and the proper accessories from GTO or C5 kits, to mount the throttle and pulley where it's needed. That's the original reason I got this from my buddy when he de-modded, but if I didn't have parts to start with, I'd be going an entirely different direction with my RWD 3800 plans.

One of the main reasons I'm going with this as my first modern motor retrofit (this'll be going into an older car) is because of how familiar I am with the L67s. I don't need to be learning new motors at the same time. That's a recipe for disaster and would drive me nuts from a planning standpoint. I'm not even as familiar with the EFI V8s as I am the L67s, and the only turbos I've messed with are diesels.
