I have constantly been surfing the forums trying to understand more about V8's since my head has been in these 3800's for the last 10 years and found this the other day. Figured it would be a relatively inexpensive upgrade for the G8 guys and the car becomes much more responsive and gas mileage actually increases.

Being an active, contributing member of CorvetteForum... that CoWBooster is garbage. Chuck Cow is a scam artist who takes ass loads of money from Corvette owners for stupid bullsiht. His "state of the art 7 years in the making" technology is done in HPTuners with relative ease. Don't buy into any bullshit from that guy. Not to mention he charges something like $500 for a tune on top of CoWBooster if you want a tune! What a JOKE.

Has this been addressed on the corvette forums? I have surfed through a few of them and have found no evidence of this. Now, this Chuck was mistaken for another individual in Texas in the G8 forums that has been flagged by many as being the person you just described (his name is Chuck oddly enough as well) but this person is up in CT and is not associated with him in any way.

It has been addressed in the C6 section. It's around 25 pages and the first 5 or 10 are proving that this guy doesn't do anything special. I've also spoken with my tuner about him and he has said its' complete bullshit. I've also asked a good friend of mine who ran a shop about him and again the guy is just full of bullshit. he provides services, but it's for tons and tons of money when it's not even close to worth it.

Read post #7 to start with.

There is no doubt that it doe something, but a matter of what it does is debatable. the CoWBooster does absolutely nothing for performance. All it does is adjust a table via HPTuners that causes the % of throttle to equal the % of throttle body opening. If you ask a reputable tuner he will tell you there are pros and cons to doing this. stock throttle % tables are doen that way for a reason. otherwise when you want to go 1/4 throttle the plate would be 1/4 open which is more standard at 1/2 throttle. The difference between 7/8 thortle used and 7/8 throttle open is HUGE. having the throttle body open 7/8 of the way is 95% of WOT.
