Buy intercoolers used. They pop up in the classifieds section every now and then. Usually you end up saving a couple $$$. You could also piece one together for Almost half the price.

Update.

Paint is finished minus a couple touch ups. My first try at freehand pin stripping and it turned out pretty good. Tough with the wavy upper intake. Wanted something a little more subtle than before, but still made people say damn when I popped the hood. Car is 80% back together and hopefully will fire up after work tomorrow.
