unless the tranny isnt stock i wouldnt touch it. The 97's were vacuum transmissions, and had trouble when cars were stock. But you could always buy it and swap the turbo over to another car because the turbo kits probably worth 2000

i agree with cannon. on all acounts. the only thing is it says newer motor/ trans, the thing to find out would be newer as in replacement or newer as in year?? would make a good difference. (and yes it can be done, ask me how i know!)

I didnt know there was two links before. Now that i looked at the second one, i think its worth taking a look at. 70k on the transmission when it was in the gtp. Go test drive it, and then tell him you want to think about it. Come back here and post about anything you noticed about the car. Bring a scanner with you if you have one. Ask him if he topswapped before he went turbo because it has l67 parts on it. Give him lots of questions and see if he can answer all of them, if he cant answer a simple question....walk away. The guys at zzp know what they are doing, but if he wasnt constantly scanning/monitering the engine after the turbo build this thing might not be on the road too much longer.

sounds good just not sure if I will have time because I live near detroit and he is in grand rapids where zzp is located, which is at least 2 1/2 hours away. I emailed him and just waiting but a call might work!

talked with my dad last night and his friends “girl friend" has a 2000 gt that she has. He asked about it because he is working on it right now (vaccuum leak) and she is probably getting a new car soon so it may be mine! Its a pretty solid car minus the little rust near the gas cap and the loose door panels! other than that, 107k, clean rockers, clean body, good suspension, clean motor and eveeything! might have myself a car on the way just after winter!!!
