Tranny: From ZZP

4T65E (HD) Transmission
HD upgrade on my non-HD car
4340 input shaft
2:2.93 single chain/gear upgrade

Stage 1 axles
3250- torque converter

Turbo: ZZP Z3 Turbo kit w/ intercooler

All together it's going to run me almost 8K. After this all is paid off, I'll go ahead and paint my car. I just need to pay off like 2K on one of my credit cards and I'll start purchasing everything.

Make sure you have it installed by someone who KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING or your investment goes bye bye. Just a word of caution. These kinds of upgrades are not your standard bolt ons like a hood or a wheel or a pulley, these are extremely complicated matters and need to be handled with precision. Remember, the amount you spend on quality installation will more than pay for itself in not having to buy a new car.

how did that come to 8K? only way i can see that is if you are purchasing everything 100% new.

I spent 5K for my T70 setup, supporting mods, AND THE CAR ITSELF. Embrace the clssifieds section ;-)

Classified section = Godly

I did my whole kit for under 2k with around 6k miles on it lol Turbo was mint no shaft play seals were great and spools up like a champ.

And Turbo kits are indeed Bolt On's

The trans I would have someone put in unless you've done it before or don't mind trying it. Beware of the Bi*tch Bolt.

Don't scare the guy a turbo kit on our cars is pretty straight forward and they're is no need to drop more money to have someone else bolt it on. Just give it a weekend have some friends over and try it out. I'd say the hardest part is changing the rear spark plugs ;)

Everyone's gotta start somewhere right? I'd never pulled a FWD engine / Trans before my car well other then a GST but that is a totally different animal lol. The only reason why I would be weary is if that is your only means of transportation. But like I said the kit isn't hard the trans is a different story.

However for liability purposes and such Don't Do It! lol
