so, I decided to make the first Turbo post. I'm sure that you all have seen the CarTuning turbo set-up. It seems to be a nice setup. The site has a new intro, and its pretty bad ass. One of the best parts about it is that its MADE IN AMERICA :salute: , not much is anymore... Oh yeah, and putting a stock GP with this turbo kit at low 12's isnt too shabby!

I've just completed the installation of a Cartuning kit and I gotta say, Right on. It's definately a tough install, more than the 9 hours they claim it to take, but for the most part, everything went in just fine. Only thing I have to question is I was told to unplug the MAP sensor to avoid issues with the engine down the road. How accurate is this?

I don't know about low 12's on a stock gp. Maybe with a few small mods, good tires and a few track passes. Never heard about unhooking the map. That's odd. The kit is a good kit. Don't like the waste gate placement. The rear plugs are a pita the way it is. If I were to do another turbo w body, I would get a zzp/stattama kit.

The stattama kit is equally as nice. Both kits are bang for your buck. I choose cartuning for all the technical support I got from Kevin and his patience with me when we had issues wih UPS. When I first installed the kit, I was able to run 12.7 without any other mods. Just the turbo (T61 upgrade w/intercooler) on my rest of stock setup. New valvetrain, Methanol injection, 3000 stall, some minor weight reduction (took out the subwoofers and spare tire) and better voltage system allowed a run worth 11.6.
