Just got the car dyno'd and tuned properly by Kevin @ Cartuning.

Pulled off 421WHP @ 13lbs of boost. Maxed turbo out, need to go bigger..

Fuel filter is clogged, couldn't get it off before the end of the day without breaking the lines.. This is as far as we could go with fuel being so restricted (said should push 500~ with proper fuel, since it's breathing well).

2004 GTP Comp G
PT-61 Turbo
Air to Air Intercooler
2.5" downpipe + Exhaust + E-cutout
63lb injectors
Stage 3 heads / Custom Cam ~ Stock rockers/pushrods
Double-roller / Machined oil pump cover
L32 block, L26 UIM + ZZP HV3
SS Powerlog / Ported rear
PCV + EGR fully functional
AC Delco R42LTS plugs @ 0.035 ~ Stock ignition coils/wires
Cometic MLS Head Gaskets / ARP Head Studs
91 octane

Fully built trans, ZZP 300M, 7/8th chain, 3.29 gears and all the other junk.

Methanol Injection still not installed... Next step is a T66 and 3" downpipe, possibly in the spring?

Never had the car work this well since I started modding.. Unbelievable power (almost scary). I don't know how people
can be comfortable flooring a 600WHP car on the street, it's almost mental.

Nice numbers :)

I am surprised you maxed out the fuel already. Was it the pump or the injectors?

Running at the track soon?

Good numbers. I might have to pull the trigger and go turbo.

No mention of fuel pump work so I am assuming fuel pump, no way that 63# injectors are maxed at his level.

Nice numbers though for a T61@14psi. How much timing? I don't see how a T61 could be maxed out at only 14 psi but Kevin knows more than I do.

It's my fuel filter that's maxing it out, not the pump. From what I was told, the restriction is so great from my 7 year old filter that it's physically blocking fuel from flowing better. We tried to take it off, but it's so seized that the fuel line was going to break. It was 4:30 and they close shop at 5:00, so it was making for a good chance the car would have been down and stuck there an extra day (which it couldn't be), so we had to wrap it up at that number and try it again another time.

I was told if I change the filter, I need to retune, because it's that bad.. So I am going to leave it for now, or the car will run extremely rich again.

As far as the turbo being maxed out, if I put it in the words I remember him saying.. The engine is breathing too well for this small of a turbo. I think he had to leave the boost as is, because the filter was causing the car to go too lean at higher boost... This was the safest/reliable method until I am ready to pursue the next step (if I do).

I'd like to hit the magical 500whp mark, which I think should be easily done once some problems are corrected.
If I get the T66 and other things, I would expect to see 550~600 just for the increase in size/money thrown at it.

I had the car tuned over 4 1/2hrs away from here (one direction). If I pull the filter right now, I'll need to have the tune modified since the car will be supplying more fuel and going rich. I am going to drive it around until snow falls and enjoy it. I'll deal with the replacement before I head up there again, or if I throw in the towel and leave it as is in terms of power adders. I've only gone WOT around 5 times... Not many places I can do it without possibly getting in trouble.

I wasn't there when it was getting tuned, I dropped the car off and said call me when it's done.
So, the first two questions, no idea. I could find out, I'll post when I know...

Tuning/dyno was $350...

Not a chance.
That turbo will take you where you want to go with 91 octane and Alchy.
Change the filter, get the 3" down pipe and have fun.
At that HP level,a good free flowing echaust is must.
BTW,the boost isn't so much what you need to watch, but the amount and quality of airflow into the engine is.

I take his word on what's going on.. He's pretty good at what he does. He said if my fuel filter was flowing properly, I may be able to hit 500WHP on this setup. But, the way my cam and heads are working, he says the turbo will max out well before I push the engine to the limit. He showed me on the dyno graph that the it's bouncing up and down at higher RPM, indicating to him the turbo is near it's limit, or is at it. I was going to go T66 / 3" downpipe, but I spent more repairing other things and transmission, so I put that upgrade on the to do list later on.

Don't know.. Without slicks I'd hope to be fine. Rather not play inside the trans again...

Ok, got the details. Boost is 13lbs, not 14 as I thought... Stock shift points and the pull was in 3rd gear.

To be honest, I don't know, haha. Car spins the wheels from whatever speed to over 60mph.. I've seen it around 5500~, but I'm going too fast at the point so I let off.
There's nowhere to hold it down for a lengthy period of time... :???:

Here are some mediocre videos.. I think I'm getting used to the power, because this doesn't feel too fast anymore. Blah. Also, not really sure if I am a fan of the BOV I am running.. None the less, the best I could do while holding the camera and holding on.

Also have a nice engine light as of last week, good 'ol P0315 crankcase position sensor.. Car runs fine, but it seems to be a dog out of the hole again (ie; no low end power anymore).

Can't win with this thing!
