Hey guys, started installing the CT PT-61 kit last Friday, have been encountering some problems. The install included the air to air intercooler, electric exhaust cutout (not wired up yet), 1.8 roller rockers, MAF and injector upgrades. I am running a tune from Will @ GetOverkilled, which is a box tune w/ my requests.

I am running a 2004 GP Comp G, using the blower case and block off plate.

Here are my questions, if they are silly, please just help me out and let's move on!

1- What does the vacuum line connection on the turbo connect to, or what it is used for.

2- Aeroforce Interceptors are suppose to be able to check boost levels, how? Which screen?

3- Still testing the car, haven't been over 35% throttle according to scanner.. During tests (using TapShift w/ Will's revised settings) my car decided to throw ABS/Stability/Service Brake errors.... Any ideas? It didn't correct itself after an off/on like it has in the past (I hear it's a random error for us GP owners).

4- Car gives "Low Oil Pressure" errors on DIC after we installed the oil feed line to the turbo. Buddy who installed it said we took the sensor out to attach (as we were supposed to). Is there an adapter, or any suggestion to fix this everytime car turns on?

That's it for now.... There may be more after tomorrow's little drive...

You should be able to get some kind of T adapter or adapter for the oil sending unit. You just need to find out what AN size it is. If it's the one going into the oil sending unit.

1) My vacuum connection on the turbo came capped off in my turbo kit (with a set screw direct from Stattama/ZZP) so it was never used

2) Seriously go and get yourself a good mechanical vacuum boost gauge and don't use your Aeroforce to scan manifold pressure. Use the Aeroforce to scan for MAF Frequency and knock retard NOT turbo boost.

3) Maybe Will can answer that

4)Where you replaced the sensor with the supplied adapter fitting for you oil return line, remove the two wire plug going in the low oil level sensor and splice the wires together. This is quoting ZZP and the only way to prevent low oil light from coming on

Excellent, you guys are helping out tremendously. If I buy a mechanical boost gauge, where does it hook up? Do I tap into the electrical or do I run something under the hood?

Finally an answer on the low oil pressure problem.... SWEET.

Well the Turbo gauges vacuum tube hooks up to any vacuum tube going around the engine bay. Just tap into any one of the engine bay's vacuum lines with the gauges supplied T fitting (Autometer had great instructions). Then for the illumination of the gauge any 12v switched source will do.

Alright, that's pretty simple. I also forgot to mention I got the "Check Gas Cap" error today out of the blue.... I haven't bought gas in a week and had no problems.

Any ideas of what I should check for this? It's too coincidental it happened with the turbo, something we did obviously set it off.

:(

You definitely getting air in your fueling system ad its depressurized. Recheck your gas cap because the only other thing I can think of which you might of disturbed during a turbo install, Is your injector o rings are not sealing properly.

BTW There is a guy named Jay who also lives in Cornwall with a real bad A Turbo GP have you spoken to him lately ?

Alright, here's the update... Grounded the oil pressure sensor, that fixed the problem. We don't have the solenoid hooked up from the supercharger since I am using a hogged out case. We were getting an error code/check engine light from that, we confirmed it checking the list of codes online.

Since the jumper/ground fixed the other problem, we tried it on the other problem. Didn't do anything at first, but it went away after 2-3 car starts. "Check Gas Cap" also seems to have disappeared.

We're still left with the ABS/TCS/Stabilitrak errors, hopefully a scan will help us sort that situation out.

I know Jay, and have spoken to him... He is busy working on his own projects and my errors are usually 2004+ related, so it's new territory for him as well.

I really hope I can make my way up to Toronto soon to have Will tune the car... Still looking for a boost gauge that will match the red theme! :)

Hey Cool glad to hear things are working out for you. My car was a different animal after my tuning session with Will (Overkill Tuning) and was definitely worth the drive. Would like to meet up with you and check out the build progress one of these days !

Sounds good! I am going to visit Flip this Saturday... We copper RTV'd the leak in the gasket tonight, hopefully she's fixed tomorrow. Also, check gas cap came back w/ engine light.... Noticed the evap cable was never hooked back up, got all excited, then realized we didn't do it because the solenoid is not on the supercharger housing (using a gutted/ported GEN III case, required some effort...).

We also got the scanner from his work (KIA), but it refused to make a connection with my car... So the ABS errors are still prominent. I may want to take a spin down to Toronto soon, maybe even next week???
