so i went to a car meet back in the fall and one of the members was going to change the fan turn on points and set it to run after the car was turned off. but now im thinking of a full tune but at that meet the other member wasnt able to get into my pcm to change it, he said he didnt want to get invovled to much with it because he didnt want to take the chance of me getting stranded an hour and a half from home. could it have been his tuner or something with my pcm....thanks

^ X2, is your car having problems and you're trying to tune it to figure out what the problem is? I just don't understand why him doing a tune on your car would leave you "stranded" an hour and a half from home. Unless there was something already wrong with your car to begin with or maybe the guy had no idea how to tune? Either way, a full tune, as you call it ;-) , would require a significant amount of driving around and playing around with the tuner and the tuning program on a laptop. he probably just didn't have time for all that or didn't want to screw something up on your car, that would be my guess

all he was going to do is change when the fans kicked on and then set them to run 2 minutes after the car was turned off,(i have 180 degree thremastat) he said something about the bin files i believe...something about it not reading the bin. not sure what tuner he was using but hes tuned plenty of others cars....sorry this was back in oct.

my car is an 01 gt with k&n con filter and the thermastat..

im thinking this summer i might try and see about getting it tuned not sure yet..
