recently i installed 1.84 yella terra rockers and i haven't had my tuned messed with.. is it worth the time and gas to go get my tune adjusted? i was going to do injectors/fuel rails and i will soon, pending cash monies and other things.. but then i will need to buy a wideband and tune the whole fuel system.. so what should i do? wait for the injectors/rails and then tune, or tune now?

You don't have to get a wideband because your getting injectors.

X2.

A regular tuner will do just fine. Adjusting for injectors is just a matter of rescaling the Injector Flow Rate table to match the new size.

You should tune after rockers. Your air/fuel ratio is now changed. So your MAF table will be off.

Widebands are the best way to get a precise tune, however, they are not needed in this case unless you have the resources to get one.

well right now i'm pushing my luck with my injector flow being at 95% so i figure do the fuel system all at once.. thus the wideband..

04+'s are know for running impossible IDC's. There was a big thread on CGP about it a while ago.

Before I tuned my car, my LTFT's were unbelievably rich. On the scale of -25 (rich) to +25 (lean) my car was running -23. Now add 39lb Cobra injectors.

Good thing I had my tuner already when I changed the injectors.

not only is the maf tabel off but the volumetric effiency (sp?) of the motor is now changed. you need a VE tune and a few maf tunes to get those fuel trims locking at 0.

Not as nessasary on an 04+. In fact, I don't remember if the VE table was ever added to the 04+ tuning tables. We asked for it for years.
Maybe in the very last version of the PT.
