obd 2 was standard by 96 correct?
1.5 was used from 94-95 correct?
build date on my car is 12/95..Am I 1.5 or 2?

What model year is the car? The OBD 1.5 was MY95 only, IIRC. MY94 cars were OBDI, and MY96 were OBDII.

94 is an iffy year i have seen some 94 1.5 cars or at least OBD 1 with a OBD 2 connector

nope 96 for cars 97 for mid-size trucks then 98 for 3/4 ton and up

most manufactures just decided to have all vehicles be OBD II un 97. even though ford waited on there trucks untill there change over
