Yea that will be a problem. The gear ratio will be wrong. The shifts will be at the wrong rpm and the DIC mpg's will be off. I would return and get the right one. Do you have a tuner or know someone close that does? You could change the final drive ratio and everything should re-calc from there.

I knew something would be messed up. i had nothing but problems gettin this PCM. Ill try emailing Will and see how he is going to correct this. i do not know anyone with a tuner that can change the settings, kinda wish i bought one now. it probably would be easier for Will just to tell me what to change. Oh well i guess it will be another 4 weeks till i get a replacement. this PCM better be worth the hassle!!! thanks for the input.

Will locks his PCM's so you couldnt even get the bin to change the ratio....that sucks!! Trust me i tried ;) ! I have heard from lots of people the overkill pcm is by far the best off the shelf pcm for our cars. Unless you got a tuner.

Man they werent joking when they said you would get it tomorrow. BTW. how do you do the security relearn. i read the write up, but i dont understand it that well. do you start the engine and let it run for the fifteen minutes, or just turn it to on for fifteen minutes? do you hold the key to the start position til a security notice appears on the DIC? im probably not reading it clearly, so any info is cool

I know that was FAST! I didn't expect to get it until next week. I forgot about having to do that stupid security relearn, I had trouble with it when I installed the DHP.

You try to start the car, then let the key spring back to the on position for 15 minutes, then turn the key off for 10 seconds. Try to start the car again and repeat the above precedure 2 more times. On the 4th try cross your fingers and HOPE it starts, and if it doesn't say a bunch of cuss words and try it again from the beginning.

I let it sit for 20 minutes after a no start and a security enabled message, turned the key off for 20 seconds and it started on the 2nd try. When I took it for a drive, I instantly noticed the car is more responsive and pulls a lot harder now. It shifts so much smoother at light throttle, yet nice and firm at WOT. The Tapshift works a lot better too, and it doesn't slam into 1st anymore when I come to a stop. The trans temp never got above 190 and I was driving it hard for about a half an hour. I'm really happy with the Overkill PCM, it's so much better than the DHP. Will definitely did a great job with the programming!
