Hey Don does your gas millage get worse or better with the overkill. I know u have some mods done. MY car is stock and I'm thinking of getting one just from what I have read and from what you said about the driving. I just don't want my millage to drop, maybe improve it a little.

The gas mileage is no different than with the DHP, but it's been so long since it was stock I couldn't tell you. I know one thing, when I hammer it there's a lot more power with the Overkill than it had with the DHP!

Are you guys running the 2005 PCM?

yeah I am, and its not FUN!! lotsa codes come out, cant use my tire pressure system, gauges go funny sometimes, but it handles my smaller pulley

That is strange :???: . What codes? Did you check your tire pressures and reset the pressure monitor on the DIC? I've been running 05 PCM longer than anyone and have not had any problems and the TPM works fine. Is your PCM 05GTP?

yeah according to Will it is! this is my second PCM! and i get:

P1107 Dual alternator lower circuit malfunction

P1574 Throttle position sensor disagreement between sensors

P2101 The Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) / throttle body type trouble codes, may be caused by a loose wiring crimp at the throttle body connector, or a broken throttle body circuit.

P2101 i get it like every second day, anytime i drive slow i get it. Plus the gauges just go outa wack and get low fuel, everythin goes to zero so i have to shut the car off for about a minute and then turn it back on and everythin is fine! so i dunno wats going on

I have been running an overkill pcm since July. That was when my ssic, headers, ported tb/supercharger, and 1.8 rockers went in. Oh yea and a drop to a 3.25" pulley. Before that I had a dhp with a 3" DP, and 3.4" pulley and other supporting mods of course. I can definitely say that I felt a big difference in the way the transmission shifts between the dhp and overkill. My mpg went down from 24-25 average to about 22-23 mpg now. Not like I didn't expect it to happen with the addition of my mods. I was able to get Will to commit to a group buy back in the spring time. I am not sure how well he made out on it, but I know at the time there were at least 6-8 people interested in purchasing them. Not to mention that Will gives you like half off if you send him in another vendors pcm as a core. I have to say overall that I am happy to have switched over and mine did not take that long to receive back then. Guess business is doing well for him.

I have a pretty good idea that it was a bad burn/flash write to the PCM. Strange things have happened when I do a high speed write to the PCM even though the checksum comes back correct. I have never had a problem when writing at slow speeds. I wonder if Will is aware of this?
When I get a bad burn I'll be driving along and all dials on the dash except the speedo drops to zero and the traction control light comes on and low fuel warning comes on. Tell Will he should uncheck the high speed write when flash programming the PCM (it will take 4 minutes to write instead of 1 minute). This should resolve the problems he's having.

That's what kept happening with my ZZP pcm....it was horrible! However with the overkill pcm i never had an issue with anything. Infact, one time I got a low pressure warning, and my tire was low.
