Does anybody on here use a netbook to tune? I have been thinking about getting one when I get HPTuners. It seems like that would be an easier tuning solution to carrying my laptop around and I could just velcro it to my dash. At the same time, would a netbook be too small making tables hard to read? What are the pros/cons of tuning with a netbook?

One of the fastest Bonneville's in the country is using a Netbook to tune. He says he loves it for portability.

I used a netbook when i first got hptuners but found that the screen was too small to show me what i wanted, so now i just use a normal laptop

Thanks for the input guys, I think I'm going to get a netbook for scanning and Velcro it to the dash so I can monitor knock when my aeroforce isn't plugged in, and use my laptop more for writing/ editing tunes so I can get the benefits of both.

I considered that option, however... There really wouldn't be anywhere visible to mount the unit in the car while scanning, and if you have grease on your hands and try to use the screen, I would imagine that it wouldn't work properly.

That's why I always washed my hands before running the car, knowing I'd need to use the laptop, too.

If it ran a standard version of Windows. Nothing beyond XP is supported for the DHP, and I'm not sure at the HPT.

Apple OS is not supported, so you would have to modify the ipad to use a windows OS, and even then, I'm not sure if its possible.

A tablet pc should be able to be used as long as it meets the requirements for the software.
Minimum Requirements:
Windows 98SE/2000/XP or Better
800 MHz PC or Laptop
256 MB of RAM
