I need help on this one. Just recently I installed a L32 GenV in my LS replacing the stock L36. My mods are L32 GenV, XP cam, TOGs, and a 3.4 pulley. I also have a Dynotech Stage 2 with a 3200 stall TC. I've been in this business for several years and I'm stuck on this one.

I can not get rid of this knock for the life of me. Today I spent the entire day driving to all four corners of God's creation in Pennsylvania, over 500 miles tuning, and I'm still back to where I was this morning. Everytime I try to get on the throttle at low rpms in 2nd or 3rd gear, the KR goes up to 10*. If I take my foot off the gas and stab it again, it's okay. I know my O2s are low but if I add any more fuel the KR gets worst. The more fuel I add the more my LTFTs go negative. And it always occurs in the same area, btw 2800 and 3000 rpms. What I really need is a wideband. Here are three of the many countless scans I did today.

I have no f*c*i*g idea what to do and I'm using the bin I had in last night again. I tried using a system another member showed me a few weeks ago in HP Tuners where you track the LTFT and MAF and then multiply the MAF table by the percentage minus half. By the time I reached home this evening, my tuned was so snafued that I was better off with the original bin, my MAF looked like the edge of a saw.

I don't know what to do :(

Ive had the same problem but only on 4th and low RPM and some one suggested this to me (im still waiting on my pcm to come back and c how thats gona go) But Aaron407 at WCGPC.ORG had the same problem too and he suggested this:

http://wcgpc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f= ... a&start=45

or its here:

"I still think it's your torque converter not unlocking soon enough. I had 12 degrees in 4th due to this. I would get Will to lower the TCC release settings to 25% TPS if I were you."

I asked did that help!

"Absolutely, it made all the difference in the world. The problem is that normally in 4th gear your torque converter will stay locked until you hit something like 40% throttle, basically to squeeze out every bit of gas mileage. The problem was that I was sometimes hitting boost at just under 30%. That means I was boosting long before the torque converter was unlocking, which resulted in the heavy load of the torque converter causing a ton of knock until I exceeded the unlock TPS setting to remove that extra load. Once I got my tuner I lowered the release settings to 25% throttle. I still see a very slight blip of KR when I hit the gas and cause it to unlock, maybe a degree or so, but nothing like before. It also made initial throttle response much better on the highway.

Also, as an aside, I'd recommend getting Will to change your torque converter lockup settings so it never locks up below 50MPH. I was sick of it constantly locking up during city driving due to the delay in throttle for the converter to unlock. After changing this the car is much more enjoyable to drive in the city.

Good luck!"

and if u got that solved already can u please tell me wat the problem was?

Thanks

I've seen some of this. You keep adding fuel, and that MIGHT be the problem. You can introduce knock with too much fuel. I leaned myself out a bunch, and the knock went away, throttle resonse was tremendous, the car was faster, and got better fuel mileage.
