The Tiny Tuner - Binary Editor

Here ya go, I finally got the OK to release this. The people listed in this email have been helping to add tables inthe database. There is not real documentation on this spftware, but I did make a web page about a year ago that explains most of it. I will be updating this page in the next few days to reflect the changes over the past year.

http://theblattners.com/Projects/TinyTuner/default.html

This program is the result of many hours sitting in front of a computer looking for tables and such to improve our tuning ability. I could not have done this without the help or RedfireGTP, blemke, Perforator, and Zalfrin. Be sure to thank them as well if you decided to use this program and feel it's worth the time it took to develop it.

Be sure tou read the Read me First text file located in the archive to set up the database and such.

This software, source code, and database are yours to use without limitation. I do not express or imply any warrenty of any kind, this is yours to use at your own risk.

This is a great peace of software, a few had been using, to make changes to hidden tables in out BIN files.
The cat is out of the bag! I look forward to seeing tuning enter a whole new level!

Please Sticky!

Will it communicate with a hardware device, or is it solely a binary editor?

-Downloaded!-

It's a tuning program like the PowrTuner. However, you still need a hardware interface like a PowrtTuner to hook up to your car. Basically, if you have a scanner, you can make your own adjustments to your bin file based on your scans. Then you just have to find someone to upload the bin file for you. Also, if you have a PowrTuner already, it gives you access to extra tables that the PT did not allow you to change.

Any possible way to use it with HPTuners and the .hpt files? It gives me an OSID error stating that the OSID = 0 when I try to read one.

By this you mean, I have a LS1M Cable; I can use this program through my laptop with an LS1M Cable?.
Does That make sense?

I think it takes more than just a cable. Otherwise, PowrTuners wouldn't have the box. You don't have to have the box to run the PT software, but you do need it to talk to your PCM.

To answer/clarify-on a few questions...

It is a editor.. It is to bin files as MS Word is to doc files.. It does not communicate with any hardware.. As for HPT... If you can get a bin file that HPT will open, you can ues it with HPT (software, not HPT files).. It has to start with a bin file though, not an hpt file.
