Hello everyone. I've been hard at work lately on 2006-2008 3800 Grand Prix computer tuning

As most who own an 06+ 3800 Grand Prix know, you have non reprogrammable PCMs. At least, you did.

I'm very excited and pleased to post that I'll be offering a proper tuning solution for 06-08 GPs using your original PCM modules. What this means is:
-no more searching for 2005 PCM modules
-no more non-returnable computer cores
-no more extra expense just to make your vehicle tuneable.

You'll be able to purchase an Overkill PCM tune, receive a 06+ PCM module that's been reprogrammed, and send back your old module for the core charge refund.

Also, 2007-2008 owners, you'll be pleased to know that I've been able to correct the operation of the fuel gauge on your vehicles with an aftermarket tune, so when you purchase an Overkill PCM for your 07-08 you'll receive a PCM that won't cause your fuel gauge to read backwards.

All of this announcement is exclusive to Overkill Motorsports. I've worked very hard lately for 06+ owners to provide better tuning solutions.

If you've purchased a 2005 based Overkill PCM for your 2006+ vehicle in past, stay tuned, I'm going to see what I can work out to allow you to return your 2006 computers for at least a partial core charge refund regardless of when you purchased. Please email me willoverkill@gmail.com if you'd be interested in this.

My website will be updated shortly with the changes! :: Overkill Motorsports ::

Any questions please post or email. As always, I appreciate the business from fellow W-Body owners!

Best Regards
- Will

lol would I do that? No its not a gag, I had a customer this afternoon running his 2006 GT on a programmed 2006 module.

I also had a very kind gentleman come for an in-car tune about a month ago and allowed me almost 3 hours of swapping PCMs back and forth and reprogramming and filling up at a gas station inbetween in order to recalibrate the 07 gas gauge once I figured out how. Its definitely backwards compared to -06 but I got it sorted :)

Not 100% certain yet but the TPMS is in the BCM not the PCM if I recall correct. TPMS is in 08 only or other years?

My 04 CompG didn't have TMPS, it just went based on tire rotations. When I put my 18s on, I remember resetting the tire check system in the DIC and it cleared the message. 08s probably have TMPS, I believe that's the year they were standard requirement by law? GXPs probably had them but again I'm pretty sure that's body control module, not affected by the ECM/TCM in their case.

I emailed u and never got any reply, for a new PCM purchase
everything shows normal, but when u try to reset it nothing happens, and it doesnt actually sense that the tires are loosing pressure, so it just sits there to look pretty LOL

04-06's used the "dumb" TPMS and just counted number of rotations via the wheel speed sensors, as Will said. There are no actual pressure sensors in the wheel itself like the 07-08. You have reset the system (while in park and go through the DIC menu, you can't just press the back arrow cause that only removes the message until next startup).

This is kickass!
That's great news for the guys/gals that picked up '06+ GPs

I'd also like to know if they will be unlocked, so they can be taken farther.
