Hey folks,

I'm not one to go with a lot of mods and since this car already has a few ponies under the hood, I would like to know how much a stock car benefits from a tune. I would be getting Will's PCM (www.getoverkilled.ca) if it benefits a stock vehicle. The only mods I will probably make is the WizAired CAI and change out the mufflers.

Also, would it be better to get a tuned PCM already or to do the tuning yourself? If yourself, what software is the best. I already have a few bookmarked but just can't make the decision between a tunner or a scanner (Autotap).

Thanks for any insight that you guys can give me.

If you're looking to monitor, you might as well pull the trigger and get a tuner. It will allow you to do so much more than just a scanner.

That said, I could only hit 28mpg tops before I tuned the car. Now I can easily pull 31+ on the highway dependant on weather, speed, traffic, etc. What's fun is to catch a rig doing 65 and draft...I've hit 35+ doing that.

The next question is which tuner to get? I have one of them bookmarked at home but can't remember which one it was. I will have to save a bit more and sell my OBDII handheld scanner.

The tuner I would be looking to get is HP Tuners.
