I need the base tune from an aftermarket PCM (zzp prefered) sent to me in some type of format as where I can load it into my tuning program (EFILive), therefore I will have a base tune to work from.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, you're asking people that paid for the ZZP file to violate copyright laws and send it to you? Might not be a good idea.

No he's not the first person to do it, I however won't be the second. I don't feel it would be right by zzp etc...

yes, and you dont want the zzp tune. its awful and will blow your crap up eventually. i hate my zzp pcm. im going to get a dhp 1.5 file written in as soon as i can. a frien d of mine with no rockers and no plog can run his 3.4 better than me after he had a 1.5 file loaded on to his pcm.

Before I got my tuner I had a zzp pcm and was not very happy with it. After I got the tuner I was able to go through it and straighten some things out.

You can get the base tunes from DHPs website if you are a member I believe, I haven't been on the site in a while. That's BASE AKA STOCK tunes. Asking for a ZZP or DHP tune is asking someone to do something that they know is wrong and probably illegal. I for one won't be giving anyone something like that and I wouldn't expect any of us that paid for our tuners would. If EFI live can be used to download a program then it should be able to upload one as well. Are you just wanting to try and modify a program with it so you can have someone with a PT or HPT download it?

DHP changes so muc in there PCMs its easier to get a base file to work from rather than paruzing through and trying to change it, I mean they change alot of stuff, I'm was looking for help, some advice wouldve been nice too

On a side note tho. Do you guys have any idea how many people buy Hypertech/Jet/Bully Dog/ Banks programmers, load the tune into the vehicle, Take EFILive and copy it, then reload the original tuner and return it? They actually teach you how to do things of that nature at Wyotech. So what I was asking isnt "illegal" or wrong for that matter.

Honestly...I would have to imagine that nobody does. It SHOULD be a non-returnable item. That is copyright infringement, or at least intellectual property theft.

Excuse me? Tell right from wrong? I paid $400 for my stuff. To think that any of us will give it away is crazy. I am reasonably certain that the vendors that had their stuff used like this have a course of legal action, should they choose to do so. Besides, why not SUPPORT a vendor. This community is small enough as it is. It's not like a Ford 302, SBC, or a community like that.

I know a dealer that puts certain "void tape" around the connectors and pcm to watch for any "modifications" . I don't know how easy it would be to "find" replacement tape, but I'm sure there's a fix for that too. lol

Found a PCM local for cheap, just gonna buy it and presume to custom tuning it, since cookie cutter tune suck horribly

And BTW you all went WAAAYYYYYY overtop and COMPLETELY misunderstood my intentions

But thank you for preaching to choir anyways. Gotta stay in practice.

Most people don't like giving up ZZP's secrets (And they shouldn't).....

But, you don't want to just keep a 1.5 bin on there...It's a start, but not a finished tune

Your best bet is to start reading tutorials.....You'll get better everything tuning yourself anyway

I would send you my tune, but I'm on a GT, and it would pretty much not help

Just find someone with the same mods and look at their tune for reference
