what i need to do. i know i have too much timing, but don't have a wideband to finish the damn tune. so i'm losing a lot of power i could have.

I am the guy that has done the tuning on her car. i was hoping somebody would post the last 4 of the timing table of a 3.5 car that has been tuned. im trying to determine if the amount of timing i had to pull out of the car is worth running the 3.4 or if we could make more power with a 3.5. I don't want generic answers that you have heard from somebody who knows somebody who tunes, i want to see the table just like i posted.

Stick with the 3.5". She doesn't have enough mods for a 3.4". You'd have to pull too much timing to run a 3.4". In fact, looking at the times some people are running with a 3.6" and less with mods than I have, I considering going up to a 3.6" even though I've been running a 3.5" for 3 years now.

Did you make adjustments to the MAF table? That table and the PE vs Time need to be correct before adjusting the timing. BTW, you can't change just the Good Spark Table. There are several tables that work together. They all need to be changed in order for the tune to be correct. And you can't just change them all to the same thing. There used to be a program that would analyze your MAF readings vs spark advance and KR that would spit out the correct table modifications for each table. The same program is also used to properly adjust fueling.

IIRC you need to change the Mean Best Spark as well as the Good Spark. And the program was something like Eddie's table modifier. It was avaliable as a free download for DHP PowrTuner users. You just take the car out riding for a while and scan the parameters needed by the program. Import the current tables and the scan you did and then the program will either make the changes for you or show you where you can raise the timing and where you should lower the timing. All based on the rpm and cylinder pressure at that point in time. It allows you to pin point the KR instead of lowering an entire section unneccessary.

It's been a long time since I changed mine, but if I remember right, I'm back to running the stock timing tables. The DHP table actually lowered the timing to accomodate for the 3.5" pulley. However, after adding rockers and getting my fueling straight, I'm able to run stock tables and can probably run even higher. Next time I go to the track, I may do some scanning a make some adjustments to get a little more timing into it.

That program rocks. It's how I got to 19* of timing on a 3.4" pulley (Gen3 blower) with stock manifolds, and no KR. :-)

i know what tables to adjust i had a 600hp 04 gto i tuned myself as well as probably 20 other vehicles. for the record her car only has 3 degrees taken out of stock and it doesnt knock. i have been pressing her to get a wideband in there to get things perfect but the car does run pretty well as it is. i will checkout that program. My tuning weapon of choice is hptuners.
