has anyone heard of putting an lt4 knock module on a 97 gtp pcm to help reduce kr?

I have never heard of it, and I wouldn't recommend it. Knowing you have knock is a very good thing. If you reduce KR but not knock, you can risk blowing up your engine. IMO, I'd try to isolate the reason for knock and go from there.

i just cant seem to figure out where it's coming from. i have more then enough mods to eliminate kr. maybe it's cause my egr pipe is bent where it connects to the headers and is leaking. i'll be replacing that soon.

Fix your leak and save up for a Dynotune or just buy a tuner.

FWIW, I've owned a few 97 GTPs and these things are a PITA trying to get rid of the KR. I had all the mods you have and then some and I still had KR. Dynotune removed all the KR but about 1* at the shift points.
