Are you using HPTuners or DHP?

It might be worth a try. If that doesn't work try your stock PCM and see if it still works. If it does, you mihgt want to have someone double check your tune. If it doesn't it could be your BCM may be going bad.

I think there might be a disable remote start button on the dic?

well, if i change pcm's either from 07 to 05 or 05 to 07, the remote start will work one time and one time only. its like it realizes that it is doing something it shouldn't and then doesn't allow me to do it anymore...:(. it's really weird...

Im guessing your VIN# is on both of the PCMs. Make sure in the PCM file that security is not disabled. Also have you checked the remote start option in the DIC? Does it say disabled?

my vin is only on the 07 because hptuners doesnt support the 07 pcm, therefore, the 05 pcm cannot have an 07 vin attached to it. i have not checked the remote start option in the dic...i will check that

-- Sun Jan 09, 2011 11:28 pm --

just checked, and the remote start option is turned on in the dic

Very odd. Since you dont have the VIN #'s matching the security in the BCM wont work. I have wrote 07 VIN #'s to 05 pcms atleast 5 times with no issues.

I have been using the ptuner.

step 1. Write down Vin #
Step 2. when ready to upload file copy Vin #
step 3. Manually change Vin # ( there is an option in Hptuner for this to be changed)
step 4. What progress bar go across (usually shotgunning a beer will help pass the time)
step 5. Make sure you didnt get any OSID vin errors
Step 6. Get fat lady in back and ride her till the cows come home

step 9. Enjoy remote start in this shitty ass cold weather.

the end

haha...sounds good minus 2 parts:

1. No Fat Chicks (NFC's)
2. It's currently 70 degrees here in Tampa, so I'm just trying to get the functionality back...lol
