So..... Is anyone doing a VE tune on an 04+? I've read a few posts about people trying. I'm using an LQ4 maf and 39lb injectors. I ran my car around for a few days with the maf unplugged but the IAT sensor hooked up. I also set PE to 100. It runs a little funky but mostly stays running. My LTFTs seemed to be all over the place but I didn't have my injector table very close. Since then I changed my MAF table and IFR table and my LTFTs have been really close from the start. I've done 1 maf tune and I'm close enough that I want to try and do the VE tune again before I go back to maf tuning. I have a question about the AE table. Should it be zeroed out to keep it out of AE when doing VE? Should I also only use steady state (not accelerating or decelerating) info for tuning VE?

Thanks,

Steven

Did you check Jerry's tuning guide. I'm sure he probably has a step by step procedure. I never had the patience to do a VE tune. Our cars take too long to settle into changes. It takes us a couple of days where as the pre gens only took about 20 minutes.

I read about doing the VE tune in the tuning notebook but it's for the earlier gens mostly. I haven't found anyone who has actually done one on an 04. I'm sure there is someone out there who has if it's possible though.
