This has happened about 3-4 times the past week and a half. I'm backing out of a driveway and im in reverse, then i put the car in drive and lightly press the gas pedal to get going. Right when i press the gas pedal it feels like the gear doesnt grab and and then the front of the car feels like it drops an few inches then goes back up. right when it goes back up it feels like the car catches and then it goes into gear and i can move forwards. I've had the music on everytime this happens so I cant tell if it makes a noise or not. i thought i heard the exhaust burp once though. when it happened the last two times the trans wasnt all the way warmed up but it wasn't cold either. Fluid and filter was changed like 10k ago with dex 6. Anyone know what gives?

Is the fluid level good? It could be a MAP or MAF sensor being screw...clean the MAF with MAF Cleaner. I know the feeling you're referring to. I am assuming that it is sporadic, and usually on initial startup, right?

Actually it happened a few of the times after I had already put it from R to D a few times. Ex. I didnt let the car idle for very long before i got in (about 1 min). I put the car in R to D to back out of the drive way and it didnt do it. I drove down the street and did a R to D again about 30 seconds later. Then I drove about 3 minutes and did another R to D. Thats the R to D where it "slipped" at. So it was like the 3rd R to D when it happened.

I'm going to check my fluid level today.

I have had EXACTLY the same thing happen to me a few times when it's cold outside.
It hasn't done it in a while [knock on my head,er wood].
The fluid was flushed last year.
I put it down to that possibly causing a valve or two in the body to stick a bit until the fluid warms up.

Hasnt done it for about a week now. The weather is starting to get a little warmer now. but it doesn't just happen on initial startup, about 90% of the time though.
