so coming home from work on my lunch break to take the dogs out (since i only live ~2 miles from work) put the car in the garage and go to get the dogs and come out and smoke is coming out of the hood like crazy... so i put the car where the truck is and getting it out from the garage... go back inside and there is like a gallon of trans fluid on the floor and i look a bit harder and it's up my drive from when i came in and just gushing from the bottom.... was able to take a look under it today since i'm off and can't really see anything broken... got a good hunch it's a trans line going to the radiator but just thought i'd vent a lil and get this post out and make sure i'm not shelling money out for no reason... thanks for reading and thanks for help in advance!

At least it was just the lines, should be a pretty easy fix.

Same thing happened to my '95 Park Avenue two years ago, on the coldest winter day. Replaced it with new trans cooler hose and double clamps at both ends, hasn't leaked since.

and that's exactly what i did... sorry for not being able to get on quickly... helping dthreap with his trans diagnosis and it seems to be a torque converter caused by the great zzp pcm with no torque abuse modes enabled... FAIL!

^^Man that sucks..my first car ('77 Dodge Diplomat) cracked a flywheel and a torque converter on two separate occasions while driving home from the car repair shop where I worked. On the plus side, the transmission & torque converter were under warranty, and the trans shop was a few blocks from home..
