It came from a transmission shop a few months ago... Hah. When things are over-quoted, and you have to borrow to get the vehicle back, never a good situation. Regardless, I think the car has 200KM~ on the odometer this year. If I can get caught up, maybe I'll be able to drive it by September, and then put it away again somewhere.

Well, I am STILL trying to find an answer as to why I am getting a P0741 error.. Checked all the wiring again, there is definately NOT a problem. Brake switch is working fine, has been replaced.

I did a side-by-side comparion of screens on my 04 GTP vs my 99 Bonneville SSEI. The only difference I can see under TCC Datastream is that under "TCC Release Press" ALWAYS says "yes" on my GTP, but will switch to "no" on the SSEI when it's going into lockup.

I compared my ISS speed, outout speed, TCC slip, etc, no dice.

My next thought on the matter is whether my Overkill PCM with its updated transmission settings, is not liking my rebuild. I will be getting my hands on an updated PCM from CarTuning with unmolested transmission settings to rule that out...

Either I've got an o-ring missing on my input shaft, or my TransGo shift kit is installed wrong and causing a major problem!

Your story is sad bro!! I cant believe you have paid so much money for a tranny and it's not working!! I'm just curios but wouldn't it have been better just to buy a tranny that was all ready built??

Would have only been cheaper if things hadn't gone wrong. Shipping x 2 (new + core return), duty, taxes = BAD.

at this point i would say yor valve body is wourn out and bleading pressure in the TCC.

eather have the valve body rebuilt or replace it. thats where i am at with mine i just deleted the P0741. it will do no damage to not have it lock up just wourse milage but with the code removed it will still use the adaptive learn when the code trips the trans goes to stupid mode and ignores the adaptive learn

I had zero issues before the rebuild, so I know the part is fine. I had the transmission already dismantled and the valve body was tested and worked on their whacky machine.

Just had the transmission fixed at Cartuning. Turns out it was a bunch of problems.

First off, ZZP 300M input shaft was missing diverter tube inside of it (thanks ZZP for telling me it's been a common issue after I tell them I find the problem).

Second, some sort of c-clip on the valve body was in the wrong place causing the TCC solenoid to not engage fully, fluid still being able to pass through..

Third, solenoid somewhat flaky after not working properly for so long...

I drove 700 miles round trip for the repair.. Got an extra 5 MPG back with converter lockup on the way home.

Figured I'd post my results after finally getting this corrected/resolved. It only took one and a half years. LOL

yeah anytime you use your own parts and not theirs, especially if they are "performance" parts, it's really hard to get shops to warranty their work. They would blame it on the part or the vehicle before they blame it on their own work. Im having the same problem with a very reputable trans shop who did a rebulid on my trans last winter. $2400 bill they stuck me with, and the trans(specifically the torque converter) hasn't been right ever since. I had them install an HD diff and 7/8" chain with 3.29 gears. I keep telling them it's not right and they have claimed every time I come to them to look at it that since the PCM has been "modified" they cannot warranty the work, even though the trans settings in the PCM have never been changed (except for gear ratio change after they did the rebuild and installed 3.29 gears). I feel your pain.....glad you got it figured out :???:
