Good day,

I wanted to provide a quick update on the trans issue that I have been experiencing. I have been hearing a loud rattling noise coming from the engine compartment when in Drive at idle. At first the thought was it was a torque converter issue and then I thought it was a loose bolt of some sort. I still never figured out what was going on, but I have some new info.

The rattle sound only occurs when the vehicle is warmed up, and occurs when the vehicle it at idle (approx 1300 rpm) when in Drive. I can turn the steering wheel slightly and the noise dissapates slightly, but does not go completely away. The noise is somewhat sporadic and I can make the noise appear sometimes by slowly pressing the accelerator slightly when in Drive so the vehicle moves at a snails pace. Most times the noise just occurs when waiting at a stoplight. I am not having any issues with shifting and I may not end up doing anything to remedy the situation at the moment, but I sure would liketo know what is going on! :)

Any additional insight? Thanks!

This is a long shot, but check for loose exhaust heat shields on the body or the catalytic converter. (Sometimes the spot welds break)
