i cracked my flex plate on my 04 gtp and i am trying to remove my trnny to get to the plate. i took out the 5 visible bolts on the bell housing but cant seem to find the 6th. this is the only thing holding me bac and i need a c ar for the upcoming break. anybody know where this pain in the ass bolt is?

did you take out the bitch bolt from between the tail housing and the engine?

LOL...yes, the infamous bitch bolt. The head is on the engine side, instead of the transmission, and you can hardly get at it. Easy to miss.

i left it out when i put in my trans after i rebuilt it i said "kcuf YOU!!!" and thew it in the trash can

well i figured out why my flex plate cracked in the first place. somebody must hav done trans work or somethin before i bought the car cause the bitch bolt and the #5 bell housing bolt were missing. thos are the two that hold the whole back of the trans in place. thats the only thing that i can think of thats could hav broken it. but my flex plate is so fubard that its not evn funny. ill post some pics tomorrow. one more drive and it would hav exploded and i would hav been screwed!

i have sen cracked exploded flex plates even with all the bolts in
