i don't think it is possible, however it can act that way in 2nd gear, there is a lag in throttle response 35 - 45 iirc, it's been a while since i've driven a gp so it is hard to remember

He said slow shift.. He said he hooked my car up to a machine and it brough up the error code that I have a slow shift. He said something about it being stuck open all the time.. I found this out when I wanted to get my transmission fluid changed. After he told me about my "slow shift" he said it would be a waste of money to change my transmission fluid as it "wont do me any good".. exactly what he said.

could just be the pressure solenoid. i would make it shift harder but not slower. if you can get the exact code that would help solve the problem. but most likely it is a U code and just a miscommunication code. and ... ya i forgot

No, he didnt tell me the exact code. It's funny he found a code though because nothing seemed wrong with my car and my check engine light wasnt on.. nothing. Maybe he tried to get 200 bucks outta me to fix it. Haha didnt happen!

Yeah, I was told to not flush it by another fellow GP member.

i wonder if he is talking about the SES code that said maximum adaptive long shift. I had that code on my old transmission. It can be a few things that cause it. The Pressure control solenoid in the transmission could be gummed up causing it to not get proper fluid pressure. I would try running some lucas oil transmission fix in your tranny fluid. that stuff works wonders.

EDIT:

Just saw that you already said this after i posted.

If you want to get the exact code, you could always to go advance auto parts or auto zone and they will scan it for free.

Thats exactly how mine was. I liked it as well. It was almost neck snapping.

P1811 is the code that was probably pulled. Yes, that will cause a slow or long shift. The 1-2 is where it's most noticeable. Once the code sets, then it will go wicked on pressures, and give you your neck snapping shift. Replace the Pressure Control Solenoid, and your troubles SHOULD disappear. Change the fluid that gets drained when you replace the filter, and call it a day.

A shift commanded by a faulty PCS. I have my shift times set to .1 sec, and the 1-2 upshift can take A LOT longer than that when cold.

yours let you do .1 sec?

we wrote my pcm with .01 sec (yes 1/100th sec) a few times, but every time we read the pcm again it was changed back to .2 kinda figured it was the lowest it could go...
