Replaced my regular dipstick with a lokar.

Pulled the stocker out of a cold tranny........fluid EVERYWHERE!!!

interesting.. should be little to none...but if its all over the place i would start with a half court and check with the car running like your suppose to and add accordingly

Well, from what I've been told by many people on the other boards is that it is normal to lose some.


What I failed to mention is their was no upper mounts holding the engine / tranny forward, so it was tilted backwards.

that would explain the larg amount. i would add none and start it up untill it is at operating temp run the shifter through its travle a few times then check the the dip stick and add a half qt at a time untill it is in between the hash marks

It won't hurt to start it up a little low if you aren't sure. Let it warm up and then check the level.
