I will be pulling the trans in the upcoming weeks and I'm going to pull the motor as well. Idk if I should just drop the sub frame and pull the trans from the bottom or just pull the motor and trans together from the top.

Pulling the trans and motor as one is a serious PITA...some people think it's easier but from my experience, pulling both at the same time is a nightmare.

I'd pull the motor from the top, then the trans after that.

No it won't. Just remove all accesories. IE: coolant reservior, power steering, a/c compressor, dog bones, dipstick, fans, etc. As for the master cylinder, it's held to the booster by 2 15mm bolts. unbolt it and set it aside. it won't leak any fluid so don't worry.

After that just remove the engine harness (there's a few hidden ones so be careful), hop under the car and remove the downpipe (13mm) and axles (33mm axle nut for GT 35mm for GTP). unbolt the motor and trans from the mounts (15mm). After which, it SHOULD be ready to pull. Make sure you have atleast one other person to help you on spotting it for any snags and such

Why buy something sensible with a RWD setup when you can build something really stupid, like this

i just dropped the front subframe rom the bottom with the trans and engine still on it. it was easy. i had a hoist though. if i did it agian i would use an engine cherry picker and lift the front of the car off the sub-frame and use tall jack stans to suport the car.

I dropped the exhaust, pulled the turbo kit etc this weekend.

Ill start the main pull this upcoming weekend hopefully. I just really didn't feel like dealing with the bi*ch bolt again lmao

I'm really considering what you did dropping everything from the bottom hmm.
