Little backstory. Around January or so my trans started acting up after I changed the fluid. Fast forward to about April and the trans began sticking in 2nd gear after driving for about 15 minutes or so. Went ahead and pulled a transmission from the junkyard out of a GT (poor mans gear upgrade). Went ahead and picked up a few parts from TEP and ZZP to do a light rebuild. Put it all back togeter, got it in the car and in the process the park lock stuck so was kind of at a loss on what to do.. Do I sell and cut my losses or try one more time? Decided to start saving for another transmission, this time out of a working car (no steady job, so no go on a TEP built trans).

Which brings me today... Finally saved up enough to afford a new one. Still going the GT trans route with an HD upgrade using my stock diff. Picking it up tomorrow. 90k, so not the greatest option, but at this point is my only one. Hoping I can have the car up and running within the next week. Just going to bust ass to get it done.

I'll be sure to update with pics as well

Hell yeah it did! Just heard a loud ass whine/grinding noise if I did anything over 60 or so. Gas mileage went to hell too since I was almost contantly between 4k and up. Went from about 220 to the tank on average to less than 160

Sorry for the delay in pics. Everything checked out on the inspection so I went ahead and picked it up for $400. Not too bad if I do say so myself. Also caries the same 1 year (free replacement/cash back) warranty as the L67 in my SE. So if anything does happen to mess up, i'm free and clear of any headaches aside from having to pull the damn thing again haha. Most likely gonna start pulling the motor and trans this coming Monday. In the mean time I went ahead and painted the casing black again.

Still have to remove all the little pieces (ie. bent dip stick, shift linkage and module)

That GT convertor is for anyone who wants it haha

New trans is in. Didn't really go picture crazy on this one as I just wanted it done. Had the motor out long enough to switch the HD diff in and transfer over my ZZP torque converter (which was about 30 minutes). I'll get pics up in a few

Are you crazy? The HD is thicker and taller. (looks at the spider gears)
