any one have the section of the shop manual that talks about diagnosing the perf shift?

when i push the button the perfomance shift light does not come on the DIC or the HUD and i do nto feel a change in how it shifts. checked the codes and the only one the car has is the rear sensor below threash hold (ie bad cat)

Have you recently changed anything with the tune? When I had my 99 we flashed the transmission files from my friend's GS to my car because his trans tables were awesome but since the regal doesn't have the same code for performance shift mine stopped working. All we had to do was change a number and it went back.

Also could just be that the wire got pinched, that happened to me once as well.

the car is bone stock tune wise. guy i bought it from never messed witht he car and he got it from a an old lady

but the transmission was rebuilt so i will see if maybe the wire got pinch
