I got these both at the same time. Had the problem for a while. Finally I decided to drive the car hard one day and finally got some codes.

P0741 TCC stuck off.

P0742 TCC stuck on.

Now here is the two catches. Got both these codes at the same time. I can feel it and see it in the engine speeds as it fights back and forth. The other catch, I replaced my TCC solenoid a year ago.

So something else is messing with the TCC solenoid. What do you guys think? Is there a sender? Something in the valve body? Wire harness?

I didn't even know you could get both of those codes at the same time. I wonder if you may not having something throwing false codes and is causing a error on the PCM and forcing it into safe mode.

I have no idea. Maybe. I mean I can physically hear the whining in the trans. Something is not getting fluid lol.

Although, I did get other codes with the TCC codes. I got the bank 1 oxygen sensor, and random misfire. Im pretty positive the misfire is an injector. Only does it at idle. Ive also read the TPS likes to cause these symptoms...

Thoughts?

Could be a failing torque convertor.
