well due to me being a very spirited driver over the last couple of weeks my tranny has began to slip so im wondering what i should do the cars still under warranty so u could take it into the shop and have it rebuilt for free but that would consist of doing some quick de-modding, but if we were to do this wed have to remove the injectors and rockers and the question i have about this is that would they notice them and would the car run ok on the stock tune since id be removing my overkill. and after everything is all said and done remove the newly rebuilt tranny so i have some money for 1 from TEP

or im looking at selling my snowmobile and should i just go TEP

FREE is FREE but TEP is better and you can get upgraded parts.

I would have the warranty work dstoone. They won't notice the rockers or injectors. You'll have to do something about the stock PCM, because you can't run the bigger injectors on the stock PCM. They shouldn't get in to the PCM, so you should be OK anyhow. What kind of mods do you have, completely?

Joe,

Hes got

1.9 rockers
38# injectors
Wizaird
PLOG
3inch DP
3.5 ZZP mps
plugs obviously

And i got the tuner to piss with the tune BUT like you said the dealership SHOULDNT touch the pcm to begin with. The only things i think we need to be worried about would be the wizaird, DP MAYBE, plog and pulley. Thats IMO. BUT how picky will this dealership be? they have replaced the tranny in this car before. How much will the dealership look into it tho? They see one mod we may be Fvck'd!
The plan is to sell the freshly rebuilt tranny after he gets his sled sold just to replace it with the TEP tranny. I have a core that we are using to send to Dave.

Ah. Yeah, if they've done a trans replacement once before, a second one will raise a red flag. Buy a TEP or ZZP tranny.

^good point, I was just going to say that I think they will become a tad bit suspicious as to why youre having trans problems AGAIN, within however many miles of the last time you had it in. And I know for a fact that they can deny warranty repairs because you intentionally drove the piss out of the car. they can go in and check engine RPM's at the moment of a part failure, and they can see a lot of other parameters. Don't fool yourself, they're not stupid or unable to detect heavy modding(most of them anyway). Unless you got a buddy that's a tech at the dealership or you know they'll be cool to you, expect them to be extra "nosey" this time and poke around trying to figure out what's causing your repeated trans problems. And I'd be worried that if they found out halfway through the repair that the problems you're having are due to the addition of aftermarket parts they won't stop right where they are and charge you for the labor up to that point. Then again they could just say the problem is due to the inferior quality of GM parts, particularly the 4T65e, as is usually the case. Be careful is all i can say...... good luck

well the car was bought used and i had it maybe 3 months when it happened the first time but i was due to me racing my buddys IROC non-stop along with a few other ppl around town the rebuild was done and then it was modded and ive put about 35k on it since then..but on the first rebuild they said i had melted gears, and this time it seems to be slipping alot less but non the less it needs to be fixed..but the plan is right now go to a tranny shop the does warrenty work thats not a dealership and then have them install all the build up parts
