I just heard back from RCV Performance, and they will be shipping the axle out tomorrow. I will hopefully be back on the road by the weekend.

Good news to hear, any word to what kind of HP this axle will stand up to?

I got my axle, and they cut the splines a little too small, so there is a little play. I'm not sure what I will do. I'm ready to throw in the towel. Anyone wanna give me 7k for it?

Splines for where it goes in to the trans or hub? Or, is it on the shaft ends? If it's the trans or hub bits, you should be able to use the end from the axle you already have.

The splines on the shaft where it goes into the joint are too small. I just talked to them, and they will take care of it for me. I just need to get to town, and ship it out overnight, and I may still be going by monday morning.

That's good that they will. Annoying, I'm sure, but mistakes are bound to happen, ya know?

Hows rcv working for you? I need to send mine off, If you needed axles again for a different project would you go back to them?

Well, it took them three weeks the first time, and they screwed up, and by now it has been two and a half weeks since I sent it back, and I still haven't seen it. Hopefully I'll see it soon.

I got my axle today, and the car is back on the road. I would most definitely buy from RCV Performance again. They tried to fix my axle the first time, but when that didn't work, Sean went out of his way to make a new one very quickly.

I will likely be taking it to Louisiana in January. Where in Ohio are you? We might be able to meet up somewhere.

Good to hear.. Im a little worried about getting axle measurements right. What are the chances of them replacing it if they rub?

Your best bet is to send them everything, and let them measure the axle themselves. If your measurements are off, it is your problem, if theirs are, you get a another axle for free.

Noah dude I just realised your signature is incorrect. Your not the first 6-speed gp. This dude had a 6speed way before you.

Thanks Chris, you are correct. That is Trav's Cadillac. It has a 4.6 Northstar V8 and T56 Transmission, so it is RWD. I will change my signature accordingly.

Here is the link to the car. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/665715
