ok this is the second car i have seen this happen to my car started off with slipping whaen it would shift from first to second then it got worse now if the fluid gets too hot it does not go into gear at all i just did a fluid change and a filter kit and it fixed the problem for about 2000 miles but its back again and bad i had to take the car off the road till its fixed ithink its a torque convirter solenoid but not sure.

when mine did that, I drove it back to the dealership. when i got there, they did a "test drive"...yeah 3hrs later it came back on a tow truck...they said it was "burnt". warrenty covered everything, including rental.

-Goodluck, mine did same, even from dead stop thru 1st.

Burnt clutches most likely. Which would make sense on it going away for a little while. Oil thins out over time and also when it heats up.
