How do you remove the axles without removing the big nut at the end? Can I get a axle tool from autozone?

Rent the socket from Autozone. Its 34 or 35mm IIRC. The nut needs to come off to replace the axle.

Agreed, you must remove the nut. Then get the axle pushed back and out of the spindle. Lastly, give that bastard a yank from the end near the tranny.

the axle nut is 36mm

youre gonna need someone to stand on the brake pedal, a breaker bar, and a 3 foot cheater pipe over the breaker bar if your axle nuts are as stubborn as mine were.

we have a darth vader here but we olny really use it for painting cars

we also have a mini compressor and tank but thats for framing ...
