i have a 04 Comp g and i just got it like 1 week ago and it kinda acts like its shifting hard in first and second gear does this mean i need to change the filter or what...my fluid color is kinda brownish red but more on the brown side what should it do and how do i do it?

Use rtv to form a gasket...i've had leaking problems without it.

You shouldn't need to use RTV the stock gasket should be fine.

not to make you worried, but in my GTX, i had coolant in the trans which turns my fluid a red/orange brown color.
