I finally got around to changing my trans oil and filter. I did just like Don Rome told me and I jacked up the front and then loosened the bolts on the back of the pan and let it drip out. It worked great. Didn't make a mess at all except for a few drops. It took about 7 quarts to refill. I'm sure glad I didn't waste the money to have it done. Oh, and I put the Dextron VI in.

Have you noticed any improvement with the Dex-6 yet?

I've only had it in for one day, but my temp seemed a little lower on my trans temp gauge.

You likely won't notice a difference between new dexron III and new dexron VI, the difference is in the longevity of the fluid.
