I can take my pass. side cv joint and wiggle it up and down pretty good at the transmission. The differential moves with it. My question is, are there bearings that the diff. rides on. somethings worn out and i cant figure it out. feels like im pullin a boat, and when it feels like that it wobbles fast like the cv joint, the driver side is nice and tight. I have had the whole front end done. so it's none of that. steering wheel nice and smooth..... if anyone has a blow-up pic of that part of the tranny, i would appreciate it!!!! thanx in advance...

Yeah, there's gonna have to be a bearing up in there. I would have to say that it has failed, or is failing. Are you hearing any funny noises from the trans?

There is a washer bearing that goes between the diff and the diff casing. Once you have the diff case off, there easy to replace.

If your having a wobble also check the Main Sun Gear Washer Bearing. If you remove the Diff ( removing the Snap Ring- Snap ring pliers make it easy) you will see a Large Sun gear inside the middle of the diff. Just remove the sun gear and check the washer bearing there.
