Tonight I was taking my girlfriend up to her college's concert (she plays clarinet) and we had to turn around to grab something she forgot. When I put my car back into drive (after it shifted out of reverse) I tried to accelerate and the car/trans shuddered really bad. Other than that I've had no issues but I'm thinking ahead now because I know my transmission's days are numbered.

What 'm wondering is should I just buy a built trans from zzp or triple edge, or should I buy a case from MPC and build my own?

I would either build my trans with all the stuff zzp puts into their base trans, and either way I want 3.29 gears. Other than that, I'm not going much further with this car so I'm not concerned with anything I need to run faster than 13's...or should I just rebuild/refresh my trans that I have now? Replace the clutches and all that good stuff?

I was told there are many special expensive tools required in building our trans how true that is I am not sure I would go Triple edge over ZZP but I LOVE MY PRJ trans

how much for a rebuilt trans from paul?

right now I'm leaning towards tripleedgeperf. for their base trans, with 3.29's added....

I am not sure Emailing him for his pricing is the best way I know I have over $4k in mine but I had a few things break and thats a total for all the times he has reworked it. sales@prjperformance.com I know Dave is also good but I have had bad luck with other shops and only deal with PRJ if I would have found Dave sooner it would be the other way around
