Mind you the car runs and drives great. I had a filter and pan gasket on my box and figured id do a drain and fill. Well once I got the pan down I saw brown piles. Im guessing they are not metal or would be on the magnet. This was also around the edges and creases of my filter.

Any ideas

Is it chunks or powder? Clutch material?

Its powdery. The trans was supposedly rebuilt about 20k ago. When I first bought it the trans housing was really clean. So it was quite believable. Someone said it might be assembly lube

looks like cluch meterial

not an alarming amount the trans missions do have to brake in a bit

How much trans oil do you lose i wanna drop my pan and change the filter , does this make u lose all the oil in the trans or just the amount in the pan ?
