like i said that came form a 1997 bonneville it was the only diagram i could find for a 4t65 so it could be possible the bonnies have the PCM in the dash

here is the second diagram i found also from a 1997 bonneville but this has the performance switch as well but not he manual vlave switch

seems fine to me. if the axle pops out i'll just do a HD diff swap and axle


and still try the TPS as well just for giggles sense you have extras laying around and it's easy to swap out

true.. and the only thing i think that axle might do is pop the boot off and fing grease... again..

i will try tracing the wires and see if i can find anything for sure or not.. i will also keep an eye out for a 97 gtp pcm to try just to be sure there to.

the computer is the same in a bonne, park ave ultra, riveara, and GTP but only 1997

i am thinking of buying the $35 and $45 ones on monday seeing as the yeards are closed on the weekends

Well I made good progress today. Had a tech 2 hooked up to the car today and the pcm is calling for od but it just isn't going in. The guy that did the scan for me worked as a trans Guy for a dealer at his last job. And suggested that i look at the 4th gear shaft in the trans I took out and here is what I found.








Is making me think the one in the car is like this too. So I may be finding out before long and just replacing it to see.

Will update more as I find it out .. but I means the swap worked fine! I am just having mechanical issues not related to the swap.

Yah i will snag a few pics of those trans tags and look them up on a couple days.. like I said you would understand when you saw the pic. Now if we can get lucky and let that be the issue still in the car. ( I did look tho and the side cover gasket looks to be more than the stinking shaft! .

oh steve might want to swap over the gear and chain drive formt eh GT trans into the SE as well the gear ratios are diffrent

3.29 on the GT and 3.05 on the SE either that or reflash the PCM for the 3.05 gearing

I don't know for sure. Was replaced at some point remember . So I don't know for sure what it is gear wise. It shifts pretty good and don't seem like it is off. Don't think it will be something I will mess with.

just found a gear claculator. that SE had a GT trans as ~2500 RPM at 60mp in a 1:1 drive gear is a 3.29 final drive ratio lol

the '99 sits at 2,000-2,200 rpm in 3rd at 60mph in 4th it's 1,500-1,700

like i said feels liek the engine is going to stall it's self out lol
