The trans in my 2004 CompG seems to slip when I shift to 2nd gear using Tapshift, but it's fine when I let the trans shift automatically. Also at WOT it seems to shudder when using Tapshift but it's doesn't do it in Drive. What would cause this? I did switch to Dexron VI synthetic but that didn't help any.

Found out some interesting info on using Dex VI in that it is only meant for tighter tolerance tranny's for our cars. It is recommended to use Dex III in these cars.

I also have the same problem with my 04 - from 1-2 WOT the car shakes a little - I'm getting a Built tranny, hopefully that fixes the problem.

Thanks for this - I currently have the 3rd/4th gear RPM bouncing problem and, I suspect, a worn out torque converter (it takes 2k RPM's to accelerate normally) I'm taking it in for a rebuild regardless simply because the tranny has 225k miles on it  I'm really hoping to see a big difference in the way it performed previously.

It would be great if there was something we could do about the 1-2. I did the ZZP shift kit set at firm with dex 6 and it still doesn't quick enough. I went back and added a new 2-3 spring in place of the 1-2 and couldn't tell much difference there either. I was able to help things a little by raising the Max_Turbine_Torque_TCC_Unlocked to 1000 ft-lb in all the cells. I also raised the Brake_Torque_Limit but think I may need to raise it further. Try these at your own risk, I'm just trying different things and may break something.
