whats the tranny fluid temp suppose to be at? on my way home from picking it up i noticed that it was around 175*, in my gtx the highest i ever saw the tranny temp at was 165 and that was after a day at the dragway

that's fine.. i saw the comp-g's at like 180 once.. it was after i was racing but still.. i would get a heat shield if yo'ure concerned.. they're cheap..

i would not worry i have seen my trans temp as high as 220* running through the Kentucky hills at about 60* outside. today i just changed the filter and fluid and it feels so much smoother and was still runnin at 192* but the was pushin her hard.

I think around 210 or higher for long periods the tranny fluid has the potential to breakdown.

mine i can take it to 220 in 10 minutes anyday, it happens every second day in the summer... im still tryin to figure out how to fix that!

Mine reached 215* last summer after a 5 hour trip and running up and down the hills in Pittsburg. Other than that mine runs right around 180*.
