Will GTO wheels be a direct bolt up on my GTP? If not, what mods would have to be done to make them fit?

Take it easy guys,
Will

No, GTO wheels are 5x120. The offsets are about the same, but the bolt pattern is wrong. You would need to get an adapter.

Which GTO wheels do you want? 17s or 18s?

The adapter is going to space the wheel out a bit. Keep that in mind.

Thanks bud. How much will it push the wheels out? What is the stock spacing? Heres a pic of the GTP:

If the gto had the same bolt pattern they would sit pretty much the same in your fender as the stock wheels. The adapters are 1.3 inches thick so it will be out somewhat. Honestly I have not seen anyone actually go through with the whole process to be able to tell you how it would look. I imagine it will be something similar to when people put 94-04 mustang wheels on gp's and they stick out near or past the fenders. It can look really good if done right (milestone's grand prix with saleens.) You might have to roll your fenders to keep from rubbing as well.

Thanks,

The adapter will definitely make it stick out farther. You will probably need to roll your fenders, and if that doesn't work you'll need realy stiff suspension so that it doesn't rub when you corner hard and whatnot. The front shouldn't be a problem. I think the stock offset is +38, I'm not 100% though, and the wheels are 8" inches wide. You can put a 235-255 on it usually.

So these are the wheels?

You can pick up these cheap on ls1gto if you don't already have them.

Yep. Those are the rims. Theres a local guy selling a set on craigslist. He also has 245 tires. Thats what made me

On a side note, I want a GTO someday. I see you have a couple yourself?

Yup. "technically" only one is mine (the yellow 05) but the boyfriend and I trade back and forth and he has a blue 04. Both are manuals, but his has a cam and headers and whatnot.. mine just has a few bolt ons :( So his little LS1 is faster than my LS2!
Neither one of us have our 17's anymore (we do have 2 of them for drag wheels, hehe) he's got stock GTO 19's and I've got some TSW's that are 19's.

Shit, I have a set of 17's that you could have for $200 shipped...but they need work. They're all curbed in some way and one has a nasty scratch down on of the spokes. A good powdercoating would fix that though!

Oh yeah, this is in the wrong section...so it's been moved to the 97-08 GP Suspension section.

I am giving 2 of my 17's away as a wedding present to my buddy. We really don't need 8 stock 17's at my house hahaha. Just two.
