So I own a 2004 GP GT2.....I havenr been on this forum in over two years because I lost my old account info....but here's what's going on with my gp.......First the ride is extremely rough......every little bump I hit the car jerks left to right.....when on the highway my car on unsmooth surfaces will have tons of body roll left to right and right to left....it pretty unsafe none the less..... also any bump i hit i hear loud clunking sounds coming from the rear both sides....clunking then loud rattlin....im thinking struts.....coils......control arms....sway bars.......but if someone can shoot me the low down on all the parts I would need for a new oem or aftermarket setup please do. Im a marine out here in san diego and really don't have much time to do the research.....all help would be appreciated

It sounds like you have worn out or broken swaybar links, that will cause the body roll and the clunking noise. You can upgrade them with Moog swaybar links which are greasable.

If the car isn't sagging you don't need new springs, but you should get new struts and strut mounts since the car is 7 years old. KYB GR2 struts are really good and very affordable.

A lot of Grand Prix owners install front & rear GM strut braces using the mounting brackets I make. The braces will tighten up the chassis so your car will handle better. You can check out my website below for more info about them.

I highly recommend both front and rear strut braces using Don Rome's mounting brackets - he sells both the braces and the brackets and is a nice guy to work with.

I also recommend the Moog front and rear front sway bar end links and you can get those at Rock Auto and someone else wrote they are available locally at some auto parts stores.

I also recommend getting new Rear Trailing Arms (RTAs). I got mine from UMI.

All of these parts can be installed by yourself if you have simple tools and the inclination and they make a nice difference in the handling. Hope this helps!

No they won't, I make the curved pieces with 2 holes on the ends of those bars.
