When I hit the brakes, the steering wheel turns to the right, but the car stays straight. The car is not pulling to the right, just the steering wheel turning to the right. When I hit a bump in the road, the wheel usually straightens out, but again, the car stays straight. Just replaced the struts this week. Sound like hub/bearing, or should I look somewhere else?

Did you get an alignment after doing your struts?

If not the alignment then I'm thinking tie rods.

Yup, I got the alignment same day I finished the struts. I'll check the tie rods again - they didn't seem loose before but who knows.

rack or intermediate shaft. does it pull the wheel to the right or does it just fall.

When I hit the brakes, the wheel "clicks" over to the right. It's hard to explain I guess. It will be centered, I brake, and it "jumps" to the right (maybe 10-20 degrees) and stays until I hit a bump, then "jumps" back to center, but the car doesn't pull one way or another.

I think I see what you're saying though. It almost pulls the wheel out of my hands when it happens.

Could be ball joints, too.

does it pull right when braking? do your brakes need to be bled?

Ball joints were replaced last summer with the outer tie rods and control arm bushings. I'll try bleeding the brakes, they need it anyway.

Turns out the ZZP poly control arm bushings failed. They were torn and twisted, and allowing the control arm to move in and out from the subframe.
