It sounds like tin when listening to it from the vehicle and only happens when I turn the wheels. It sounds similar to what the control arm is made of, when I tap on the control arm. Anyone familiar with this sound and what it could be?

That is a weird sound. Jack the car up, and see if any ball joints, tie rod ends (inner or outer), or bushings have any play in them. If they do, start there. If they don't...well, hopefully someone smarter than me chimes in! LOL

Hey there,

I had a similar sound on my 04 GP last Fall, but my sound was much more pronounced and harsh. The sound came from the steering rack. I know there was a TSB on a "clicking" sound coming from the steering rack for my car and was related to one of the boots on the rack rubbing on something. My issue was not that particular issue, but it could be something to look into. It also could be related to the intermediate shaft as well, so get that checked out too, as well at the suggestions above. Hope this helps a little.
